Swallow Hill Farm

We are a small family-operated farm in Bucks County, PA. We specialize in organic fruit and vegetables. 

​

Swallow Hill Farm was started in Ottsville, Pa in the 1980s by the Nagel family. They worked the farm for many years as a family taking pride in using sustainable and organic practices. They were members of the Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture, and the Plumsteadville Grange. When the Nagel's decided to move to Slovenia.

In 2017, The Penecale family of Bill, Leslie, Amanda, and Andrew purchased the farm. We are currently in our fifth year here at the farm, and we are excited to be learning so much about this land and our surrounding agricultural community. In 2021 we became USDA Certified Organic. During this time we learned a great deal about new techniques and processes to help our farm to thrive and worked to make sure that our fruits and vegetables would be as healthy as possible for ourselves and our community. We continue to be members of PASA and the Plumsteadville Grange.  ​

This season we are growing a variety of organic tomatoes, peppers, greens, and flowers. We also have an orchard of apples, pears, tart cherries, persimmons, and a variety of nut trees. We are excited to be selling our produce at markets and to local chefs. This will be our second year selling dried herbs and peppers which are a great addition to our fresh produce. . 

You can find us at the Plumsteadville Grange on Saturday mornings from 9-12. ​
